Gizchina News of the week

If rumors are correct, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is expected to have MIL-STD-810G standard compliance for extreme durability. This means that it can survive, huge drops, ice/fire but still packs the standard IP68 certification like the normal Galaxy S8/S8+ smartphones. The device will be different in its design when compared to the aforementioned smartphones because it will have to be able to withstand much harsher punishments 😉

It will also pack a larger battery, but still be equipped with a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM with microSD slot and a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2960 resolution. It will retain the 12MP main camera we know from the Galaxy S8 model with f/1.7, PDAF and OIS, along with a 5MP selfie shooter and it will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
