Nubia Z17 “leaks” in new images, confirms it has IP67 certification!

It seems that the upcoming Nubia Z17 model will join the club of the water resistant smartphones, after today’s confirmation by the Co-Founder of the Chinese company that it will have IP67 certification.

Ni Fei, Nubia’s Co-Founder and General Manager of the Smartphone Sector teased us earlier today with a purported Nubia model mentioning that it is water resistant as you can see. The post contains the photo of a working prototype smartphone in working condition, being placed under a running source, with no problems at all.

Obviously this doesn’t come as a surprise. After all most smartphones nowadays are IP67 certified so this will only be used as an added bonus on the remaining technical specifications of the device which are quite impressive as you might agree: Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4/6GB of RAM, dual camera setup on its back (23MP+12MP), Android 7.1.1 Nougat etc.

We have no info yet on a possible launch date or a price tag, but soon we will be able to tell you everything about it.

Nubia has always had well sorted camera on it’s high end mobiles. Hope Z17 continues with this. But they better hurry up, the field is getting very crowded because OnePlus 5 will beat Nubia to market. And with very capable Samsung S7 in market at knocked down price, competition heats up, in Mid Premium space.
