Dual camera is the flavour of choice this season. Almost every phonemaker out there is doing a dual camera phone, with some going to the extent of having dual cameras on both sides (
Gionee).
Asus might not be the most popular phonemaker on the scene, but certainly have some action taking place.
News is that the company is on its way to announcing a dual rear camera phone, which might not be a flagship-level device particularly.
Known as the Asus X00KD for now, the device was spotted on TENAA with a dual rear camera, a 720p display, and a above-average capacity 4020mAh battery.
Powered by the quad-core MT6737M SoC, the Asus X00KD is expected to show up in 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB ROM variants. Quite clearly, this reaffirms our beliefs about the device not really being top-of-the-line (spec wise, at least).
Keep an eye out on this space to know more about the phone; given that it's already lining up for certification in China, we should be able to see the phone in its flesh in the coming weeks.
