With more and more people getting dashcams both for insurance reasons or publish online some of their trips, the Azdome GS65H comes into the market with an interesting feature: a dual camera setup.

The GS65H is indeed a dual lens dashcam powered by a Novatek96655 chip and a Sony IMX323 image sensor, which together can record high quality footage flawlessly, have a fast operation speed and various functions. The lens on the cameras are 150° wide angle in front lens and 130° wide angle in rear lens. As far as video resolution is concerned, we get 1920×1080p/30fps in single camera mode and 1440*1080i+720P in dual camera mode.

The Azdome GS65H also comes with a unique IR night vision function, which makes it even more useful compared to other cameras. Let’s see the IR filter in action:

So, we can definitely see in the video the difference the IR features makes. When it’s off it’s practically impossible to see inside the vehicle, when it’s on we can definitely see much more.

The night vision function of the GS65H works using 4 infrared lamps near the rear lens. We’re indeed able to see the subjects because the infrared light is casted on the object and the camera then captures what’s been reflected by the surface. Definitely an interesting feature to consider if you find yourself driving a lot at night or in dark environments.
