Yesterday we posted news about a new Redmi phone with 18:9 display today we have a few updates to go along with those original photos.
It’s now believed that the phone pictured yesterday in leaked photos is the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus after this blurry image a retail package made its way online earlier today.
What’s more, the Redmi 5 Plus could launch as early as this month where it is sure to shake up the Chinese smartphone market by offering high-end features at rock bottom pricing.
Gizchina News of the week
We’ve already seen in previous images that the front of the Redmi 5 Plus boasts a full-screen design and 18:9 ratio display, and that the rear of the phone has dual cameras, fingerprint scanner, and the body is alloy. This all looks great but with pricing now rumored to start from only 1099 Yuan this thing is starting to look incredible.
5 Plus specs are still rumors but it’s now thought the dual camera phone will receive a Snapdragon 625 chipset, while a smaller version of the phone will run a MediaTek chip.
The Red 5 Plus will boast a 5.7-inch display, 4GB RAM, dual 13 megapixel rear cameras and have Qualcomm quick charge 3.0.
We’re sure to see more of this phone before it launches so watch this space.
Nice, I like it
