Samsung Galaxy S9 back cover hints at a single camera setup

There have been rumors surrounding the camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S9, with initial reports claiming that it will sport dual cameras on the back whereas the current reports hint towards a single camera setup on the Galaxy S9 and a dual camera setup on the Galaxy S9+. The leaked image of a back cover alleged to be of the Galaxy S9 corroborates with the single camera setup report.

Gizchina News of the week

The back cover has cutouts on the back enough to accommodate a single camera lens which will sit right above the fingerprint scanner flanked on the right by the flash and other sensors. The right side has dents for the power and volume control whereas the left side has a dent for what we speculate is the dedicated Bixby button. The bottom has a cut out for the charging port and the microphone. From the size of the case, it can be inferred that the S9 will be similar in dimensions as the S8 although there is no report regarding the actual phone dimensions.

If rumors are to be believed, the S9 has already hit production and we might see an unveiling in the first quarter of 2018. But nothing is sure for now. So stay tuned!
