Elephone S9 to Feature an 89.9% Screen-to-Body Ratio

Elephone S9

In 2017 the word “full screen” has slowly become a synonym for higher than ordinary screen-to-body ratio phones. An high screen-to-body ratio usually means a more immersive viewing experience. So, if you’re taking pictures or playing games, there are almost no borders between your screen and the real world on the other side, which is what produces that immersive feeling.

Elephone S9

A more immersive viewing experience is what Elephone are trying to bring with the upcoming Elephone S9 as well. The company did indeed reduce upper and lower bezels to bring the screen to body ratio to around 89.9%. They say that even a 0.1% increase in screen-to-body-ratio requires a lot of careful design and crafting. In addition to that, the S9 also comes with a flexible AMOLED screen and curved frame, both designed for an improved immersive experience.

Why not wait and see if they can make it. I’m still thinking it’s a marketing trick.
