Samsung Galaxy S9 Coming on the 16th of March

Veteran leakster, Evan Blass stated on Tuesday that Samsung will put the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus on sale starting 16th of March. Blass cited the source as being a senior executive of a case manufacturer.

It has been confirmed that the Galaxy S9 smartphones will be unveiled in the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Along with that, Blass also said that the next line of smartphones from the Korean manufacturer will go on pre-orders starting 1st of March.

The Galaxy S9 series has been the talk of the town since even before the Note 8 came out months ago. Multiple reports have given a tough idea as to how Samsung will tackle the issues that were faced with the S8 series. For starters, the fingerprint scanner will now reportedly be below the camera setup(single camera for the S9 and dual-camera for the S9+) on the back.

Both the smartphones are expected to follow the trend their predecessors set, with their form factor being largely similar albeit with larger displays. Both the phones are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 845, Qualcomm’s flagship chipset for 2018 in the US and China whereas the Exynos 9810 will power the international variants. The S9 is expected to start at $700 whereas the S9+, at $800.
