The Galaxy S9 and S9+ leaks are still pouring in, and with this pace, it appears we might be left with nothing else to report about the flagship Galaxy S9 duo by the time Samsung actually reveals the phone at an event in Barcelona later this month.

On Saturday, just a day after the upcoming flagships leaked in fresh new colors, what appears to be official images of the Galaxy S9 protective covers have surfaced online alluding to earlier reports that speculated the arrival of two new Hyperknit and Protective Standing Cover in addition to some existing covers for the Galaxy S9.

According to Roland Quandt of WinFuture from whom these images emanated,  existing protective cases for the Galaxy S8 such as the LED View, ClearView, Silicone, Protective Standing Cover, and Alcantara will all be re-introduced for the Galaxy S9 and the S9+, while two fresh Hyperknit and Protective Standing Covers will be added to the mix.

Starting off with the latest of the cases, details about the new Hyperknit cases are obviously not clear, but we do know they are made of a woven fabric and have already been listed on some retail online stores, but we may not get to know the exact official price until February 25 when Samsung is expected to lift the veil off the Galaxy S9 and some other accessories.

Also new to the bunch is the Protective Standing Cover which is already in stores for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phablet. This case is said to offer military-grade protection (MIL-STD-810G-516.7) that should protect the Galaxy S9/S9+ when dropped from a height of up to 4.9 feet. It comes with a kickstand for use in landscape mode.

Next is the Clear View Standing Cover. We first heard of the Clearview standing cover when the botched Galaxy Note 7 was first announced. This case was however reworked for the Galaxy S8 duo and now for the Galaxy S9/9+. It is a flip case that allows the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ to be used as an alarm clock sitting on your nightstand.

The LED View Cover, on the other hand, dates back to 2016 when the Galaxy S7 was announced.  The same was made available for the Galaxy S8 and S8+, and now it is here again to offer protection for the upcoming Galaxy S9.  It has a hidden LED display on the front which can show the time and notifications for calls, messages, battery level, and alarm.

Also on the list of the expected cases for the Galaxy S9 is the Alcantara fabric case, the same cover type employed by Microsoft for its Surface Pro and the Surface Laptop. Apart from the premium soft feeling, the case comes embedded with NFC chip. Also on the return list is the Silicon case, it been around for a couple of years and is famous for its flexibility.

We cannot confirm the pricing for these cases at the moment, they are however expected to sell within the same price range as year’s cases.
