Qualcomm Snapdragon 700: The 800 for Mid-Rangers

Qualcomm took the stage at the Mobile World Congress 2018 to unveil the Snapdragon 700 line of processors. The literal number gap between the 600 and 800 series of processors has now been bridged. And not just that, the 700 series brings to table premium features from the 800 series and packs it in an affordable package.

The main focus of the 700 series is to bring premium features to affordable smartphones. It will come with the multi-core Qualcomm AI Engine that is supposed to deliver up to 2x improvements for on-device Ai applications. The Spectra ISP will lead to better camera experience as compared to the 600 series of chipsets.

The performance and battery will be hugely benefitted thanks to the new architectures that will debut with the Snapdragon 700 chipsets. Qulacomm says that it will offer up to 30% improvements in power efficiency, better battery life and faster charging thanks to the Quick Charge 4+ technology.
