The notebooks market is one of the most active segments in the PC market nowadays. Even phone makers such as Huawei and Xiaomi have had to enter this niche. But there are ‘old’ players like the South Korean LG. And today one of the world’s thinnest laptops carrying this brand became available in China (and not only). The LG Gram Z980 series notebooks are available at a starting price of 6999 yuan ($1102) on JD.

Like the previous generation models, the LG Gram Z980 series notebooks come in three different sizes of 13.3 inches (13Z980), 14 inches (14Z980), and 15.6 inches (15Z980). All three feature LG’s own IPS InCell panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 96% sRGB color gamut, and a narrow bezel of 5.9-6.7mm. Their thickness is 14.5mm, while the body weight is only 965/995/1095 grams. So they correspond the product’s name. However, the thin body didn’t affect the battery capacity, and they come with a 72Wh battery providing up to 22.5 / 21.5 / 19 hours of a life time.

That’s why it can deal with the impact, vibration, low pressure, dust, high temperature, low temperature, smoke, and other 7 kinds of dangerous environment.
