Xiaomi Malaysia brings in a bunch of new products

Xiaomi’s presence in Malaysia is surprisingly great. The company’s made big strides towards bringing all their products to the country, the most recent being the Redmi 5. Now the company has gone and brought most of their catalogue, including many of their smaller Mi Home items.

Among the new products, we have the Xiaomi Smart Rice Cooker, the Mi Bedside Lamp, Xiaomi TS Polarized Sunglasses, the Mi Electric Scooter and a Mi Bunny Robot Builder. All of these products are now available for purchase at both of Xiaomi Malaysia’s concept stores.

Gizchina News of the week

Of the bunch, the Xiaomi TS Polarized Sunglasses are the cheapest at just RM99, which isn’t too bad for a pair of polarized glasses. The Mi Bedside Lamp follows at RM198, which isn’t exactly that cheap, though it’s definitely a very nice lamp. Not something I’d fork over that much for, but it’s nice.

Another interesting item is the Xiaomi Mi Bunny Robot, an interactive building block robotics kit that encourages children and teenagers to create and program their own robots. We’ve also got the Xiaomi Smart Rice cooker for RM349, sure to be hit in the rice obsessed land of Malaysia.

Rounding everything off is the Mi Electric Scooter, which clocks in at a pretty hefty RM1699. It’s great that Xiaomi offers more stuff nowadays, it shows that they’re growing as a company. We look forward to what the company brings next, which should be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.
