Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is one of the top smartphone and other gadget manufacturers in the world. Today, the company is marking its 8th anniversary, yes, Xiaomi is only eight years old. This company has grown from a handful of workers and it currently has over 20,000 staff in its control. Eight years ago, Lei Jun led a small start-up team to project the Xiaomi goal. Xiaomi has grown into a giant Internet company whose sales of smartphones, smart hardware, and IoT platforms have exceeded 100 billion Yuan ($15.8 billion). Xiaomi has developed its products with the Internet development model. This company avoids intermediate links in its internet products for a seamless operation and it strives to enable everyone in the world to enjoy quality technology products from China.
I remember my first Xiaomi phone still, Mi2s. Still one of my favorite phones ever because it introduced me too Chinese phones. My favorite Xiaomi overall though was the Mi3.
I remember buying a Xiaomi 1 (1S maybe, can’t remember exact model name, but the first indeed) for my brother, hehe. And then the 2A for my wife, and a growing list: 3, Redmi 2A, Redmi Note 3 Pro, Mi 3, Mi 5, Redmi 4A and finally my new Mi Max 2.
I’ve had every “mi” phone from 2s on except the Mi5.
