Really active week for some of the biggest names in the Chinese smartphone industry. OnePlus and Honor did indeed unveil two extraordinary devices, coming with “top-notch” hardware and really appealing price tags. We also have some updates from Xiaomi regarding the upcoming Mi 8, of course. Keep reading to find out what you might have missed during the past week!

In the next seven days we might finally see the much awaited Xiaomi Mi 8 finally see the light of day. Because of that, always new leaks are been discovered day in and day out. The latest of these portrays the alleged Mi 8 sporting an under-display fingerprint scanner in action. In the past week we also had a look at what’s most likely going to be the packaging for the upcoming phone.

This was the week of Huawei’s Honor 10 launch. The new flagship phones comes with a powerful Kirin 970 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and sports a 5.84-inch 2280 × 1080 display; click here to learn more about it. Huawei also unveiled the entry-level Huawei Y5 Prime with facial recognition, the Honor 7 and Honor Play 7.

OnePlus

The long awaited and much rumored OnePlus 6 was finally launched in London, last Wednesday. As expected, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X of RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and features a large 6.28-inches 19:9 Full Optic AMOLED; learn more about it in our launch coverage piece. Along with the phone, OnePlus also released a pair of wireless earphones, namely called OnePlus Bullets Wireless.

The hammer brands – Smartisan – did finally unveil their latest flagship – the Smartisan R1. The R1 is the world’s first phone packing up to 1TB of UFS 2.1 storage, along with the beastly Snapdragon 845 and either 6GB or 8GB of internal storage. Click here to learn more about this premium device.

If you’re an Oppo fan then you’ll be glad to learn that the Chinese company just launched a more “budget-friendly” device for you to check out. The phone is called Oppo Realme 1 and it comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (in the top variant) for just around $206.
