Three Asian Countries To Cooperate In The Practical Application Of 5G Technology

The race to complete the development and application of 5G technology has been an intense one. No doubt, Asian firms are ahead in the development of this tech but make no mistake about it, other companies are not far behind and the table can turn at any time. According to a report by Japan’s NHK TV station, China, Japan, and South Korea will cooperate in the practical application of 5G communications standard. This will not only help companies develop 5G communication equipment, but it will also promote the standardization of 5G tech in various Asian countries.

Specifically, China Mobile has completed the development of basic technologies for 5G and it began to implement verification experiments outdoors in 2017. In 2018, commercialization will be promoted in some regions while in 2019, more than 1 million 4G base stations in China will be upgraded to 5G. It is believed that 5G services will spread throughout China by 2020.
