Four Nokia 5.1 variants clear FCC ahead of launch in the US

Nokia is in the process of introducing its refreshed portfolio of devices in the US. These devices include the Nokia 3.1, the Nokia 2.1 and most recently the Nokia 5.1. The Nokia 3.1 just showed up on Amazon US yesterday although as out of stock. This is a sign of an impending release. Now four variants of the Nokia 5.1 have cleared FCC certification.

These four variants are – TA-1088,TA-1081,TA-1075 & TA-1061 . If you’re confused with the numbers, the first two are dual-SIM variants and the last two are single SIM ones and they support NFC. Thankfully, the entry-level device will have at least 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The high-end variant will have 3GB Of RAM and 32GB of storage. Nokia is gunning for a July release of the Nokia 5.1 as HMD wants a 45-day confidentiality for the phonenokia 5.1The Nokia 5.1 comes with a modern 18:9 aspect ratio as opposed to the thick bezels on the Nokia 5. The handset has a MediaTek Helio P18 chip and a single 16MP rear camera as well as a 6MP front shooter. All Nokia devices this year are supposed to run clean unadulterated stock Android, so is the Nokia 5.1 At the global launch, Nokia said that the 5.1 will get a €189/$219 price tag. Expect a launch in July.
