Xiaomi EU Releases Unofficial MIUI 10 ROM for Users Out of China

MIUI 10

As we previously reported, Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 10 is already out in its beta form for Chinese users and a selected number of devices. Well, the guys over on the European were so hyped up by all the new MIUI 10 features that they went ahead and released a ROM everybody (out of China) can download and install on their compatible devices.

The released Xiaomi EU MIUI 10 ROM is available for most flagships as well as other recent devices, such as the Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 6, Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi MIX, Mi MIX 2, Mi MIX 2S, Mi Note 2, Redmi 5, and the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Gizchina News of the week

The Xiaomi EU ROM is, of course, based on the MIUI 10 China Developer ROM, which means it comes with lots of the features you’ll find on the official MIUI 10 OS as well as some neat home-cooked additions, including search gestures, screen off animations, charging sound, optimized RAM consumption, 5×3 layout option, Mi AI machine learning program, face unlocking and much more (visit the source at the end of the article to learn more).

Being released by the European team, the ROM does also feature lots of EU languages, while still keeping the original Mandarin and English languages.

Anybody can install the Xiaomi EU MIUI 10 ROM but we only suggest doing it to power users, as there’s always a risk of damaging the device in the flashing process.

Are you guys going to test it out? Let us know down below!

Regarding “The guys over on the European side didn’t like it too much apparently”

We never have an issue with the Chinese side, we dont mind anything, what was commented in the post by Pierre is not actually true. We released the ROM when the Chinese dev was made public…we’ve done this for 8 years now and no issues with Xiaomi. We work in official capacity on many different projects for MIUI and Mi Jia 🙂

My apologies, perhaps I used a bit too much poetic license and it can be easily misinterpreted.

I’m going to touch it up as here at GizChina we love your work and we don’t want to create any beef between the two.

      Keep it up!
