Citing industry sources familiar with the happenings in Korea, the Bell reported earlier this month that Samsung and Huawei had clinched a deal for the former to supply it with a massive 6.9-inch OLED panel which the Chinese manufacturer intends using for one of its upcoming flagships. While it was rumored the said OLED panel could end up with the pro variant of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 series, the latest gist from China suggests otherwise.
A leaked document containing details of unannounced phones suggests Huawei Honor brand could be preparing a device with a huge 6.9inch display. The device is codenamed as Ravel, and this could turn out to be the Honor Note 9 which should arrive later this year to take on the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.
Giving ore substance to the speculations, Zhao Ming, the President of Honor business in a recent Weibo post said he has been playing with an Honor 10 flagship and a large screen Honor phone which could be the rumored Honor Note 9 phone with a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
The Huawei Honor Note 8 was launched in August 2016, so it’s now overdue to get a follow-up, so we are not surprised hearing rumors about a follow-up — which naturally should be the Huawei Honor Note 9. There are currently no reliable details on what else to expect of the upcoming Note 9, however, we’ll bring you more info as we hear more on the Huawei Honor Note 9.
