Samsung is all set to launch its next flagship Phablet, the Galaxy Note 9. The Note 9 launch will be preceded by the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 if rumors making the rounds are to be taken seriously. Ahead of the said launch, we have a scoop from Korea that says the company plans to extend the Dex Pad support to its Galaxy Tab series starting with the Galaxy Tab S4.
The latest scoop has it too that Samsung will roll out an update that will bring the dual monitor support to the Dex Pad, the said update is expected to roll out shortly after the Tab S4 release. While the current Dex Pad goes blank when connected to a supported smartphone, the upcoming update will give you the option of using the Tab S4 as well as supported Galaxy device as a second screen in conjunction with the monitor.
Previous reports have it that Samsung will be announcing the “Book Cover Keyboard” specifically for the Galaxy Tab S4, this will ensure users take full advantage of the tablet as a second monitor. Hooking your phone to the Dex Pad ensures you can access whatever is on your phone on a full-sized desktop screen, complete with a keyboard and mouse.
Samsung is yet to confirm the expected update, we would update you with more info in due course.
