Recently, Huang Zhang, the founder of Meizu Technology, revealed some information about the Meizu 16 series on Meizu community. According to Huang Zhang, Meizu’s upcoming flagship smartphone series comes a standard on-screen fingerprint sensor which will be the first in its history. Only a few OEMs like vivo, Huawei and Xiaomi have been able to use this feature.

Today, a question on Meizu community wants to know the performance of the Meizu 16 series fingerprint sensor. In response, Huang Zhang said that the on-screen fingerprint sensor has not been widely tested, but the preliminary performance is good. Though these smartphones are expected on August 26, the development of these smartphones are still on and anything can change.
It is reported that the Meizu’s coming flagship series includes Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus, both of which are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with up to 8GB of RAM. Both phones will use an 18:9 screen with a narrow forehead and chin. Reports also have it that these smartphones will be equipped with dual speakers and a good camera setup. From the previous statement of Huang Zhang, the pricing of this series will be user-friendly.
