Sony issues “Save The Date” invites for its IFA press briefing

Sony

This year’s IFA conference kicks off on August 30 till September 5th, and as is usually the case, we are expecting big announcements from the likes of LG, Samsung and lots more. Sony won’t be left out, and while we are still weeks away from the one-week long event, the company has announced it will hold its IFA press conference and product announcement on August 30 at 1 PM CET.

The event will hold on the said date at Sony’s booth, Hall 20 Messe Berlin (Messedamm 22, 14055, Berlin, Germany). Sony says you need no prior registration to attend the press conference, but an accreditation badge is needed.

Gizchina News of the week

While the company hasn’t made mention of the product line up for the conference, our guess is that the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 compact which was announced back in 2017 at the IFA conference might be getting updated, and if that goes through, then we might be seeing the Xperia XZ3 with Quad camera feature – two on the display front and two on the flip side, and while that sounds plausible, rumors have it that the camera configuration won’t be on par with that of last year’s Xperia XZ2 Premium.
