Several OnePlus smartphone owners are facing an issue with Waze, but a fix is coming soon


The OnePlus forums, Twitter and Reddit topics related to the company’s devices are being bombed by reports from an issue related to the GPS connectivity in the Waze application. According to the flood of posts, among different OnePlus devices, newer and older there is a common issue with the Google-owned navigation app – There’s no location fix.

Basically, the lack of GPS makes the Application and all its features that can easily the life of drivers completely useless. Worth noting that users who tried to fix the issue by uninstalling and re-installing the application were found disappointing. No use for clearing cache, GPS data.

The worst thing about this weird issue is that it doesn’t affect just a single generation of the OnePlus smartphones. It is currently experienced by OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T and 6, and the company is aware of the situation. OnePlus came to the public through its official forums to inform the users that a bugfix is coming soon.

Waze developers are also working alongside the smartphone manufacturer to found out the reason for such a nasty issue. The combined work of Google and OnePlus should bring a solution pretty soon to all those users that are feeling lost (pun, intended). In the meantime, regular drivers and app drivers should rely on the currently working solutions like Google Maps.
