Huawei had a breathtaking year along with its other brand Honor at the international level. The brand is now the worldā€™s second-biggest smartphone selling company falling just behind Samsung.

As per Indian media house Times Now, Honor has claimed that the Honor 8X sold so quickly on Amazon on the first day of the Amazon Great Indian Festival that it became the top-selling smartphone of the day. However, there are still few days left for Honor 8X to maintain the top spot.

Coming to the Honor 8X specification and features, the new device is manufactured with some upgrades done comparatively to its previous iteration i.e. Honor 7X but somehow it is ranked below the Honor Play in India. The Honor 8X carries a display of 6.5-inch notched IPS LCD panel addressing a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a397 PPI density.

Previously Honor had launched its Honor 7X and Honor 6X with the Kirin 659 chipset but it is not the same case this time as Honor has decided to upgrade its new phone with latest HiSilicon Kirin 710. The brand new chipset is builtĀ on 12nm manufacturing process and is powering four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at up to 1.7GHz. On top of that, the phone has an ARM Mali G51 GPU. The new Honor 8X comes in different RAM variants along with storage capacity from which a 4GB RAM is the base and the other one is 6GB RAM. The new phone is packed with a whopping 3750 mAh battery.

Speaking of the Honor 8X camera, it is sporting a dual camera at the back which carries a 20MP as primary and a 2-MP as secondary. The font facing camera is furnished with a 16MP.Ā Moreover, the handset comes pre loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo based with EMUI 8.2 and it is believed that the Honor will give an option of upgrading to Android 9 Pie soon after its global release.

The Honor 8X comes in 3 variants with the primary version of 4GB RAM with 64 GB carrying a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Secondly, the phone appears in by the 6GB + 64GB variant which can be purchased at Rs. 16,999. Lastly, the premium version of the phone comes in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is priced at Rs 17,999.

The Honor 8X base variant can be availed at a discount of 10% with the ICICI or Citibank credit or debit cards. Of course, there is an option of EMI at monthly terms starting at Rs. 706.
