FCC images reveals Xiaomi’s Mi True Wireless earphones

A few weeks ago Xiaomi took the wraps off its new line of wireless earbuds called AirDots. Apart from the name which got clearly inspired by Apple’s Airpods, the earbuds look nothing like the US company’s popular wireless earphones. However, today a new report reveals that Xiaomi is making once again developing a new pair of EarBuds, that this time looks like clones of Apple’s AirPods. The new earphones have already been certified by FCC.

The FCC documents are now available for public viewing and reveal a pair of wireless earbuds that are pretty similar to Apple’s offering. However, the filing confirms the naming of the earbuds as “Mi True Wireless Earphones.” The product looks like a mix of the AirPods with Xiaomi’s Mi in-Ear Headphones. Unlike Apple, the Chinese firm employed a silicone ear tips cover. The document reveals that these ear tips will be split into three different size options.

The images also reveal that the case of Mi True Wireless Earphones has a multi-function button on the side of USB-C  port for charging underneath. According to reports, Apple’s second generation of AirPods is also said to come with USB-C charging port instead of the former lightning port.

The Mi True Wireless Earphones will be connected through Bluetooth 4.2 and will offer support for touch controls. The Earphones will also allow the user to control class. According to the specs, they should last up to 3 hours in a single charge while the charging case is said to provide up to an additional 10 hours.

The new Earbuds are expected to come in Xiaomi’s biggest day of the year, during the December 8 event that will take place in the US.
