The Oppo R17 Pro flagship phone which is planned to be released on 4th of December at an event in Mumbai will support SuperVOOC charging option in India, confirmed Oppo in a media statement today. The company had recently released the Find X however, it looks like the Oppo R17 Pro will be the very first device with SuperVOOC in India. Furthermore, the official listing on the Indian website also confirms the same.
The SuperVOOC charger delivers a charging option up to 10V/ 5A at about 50W. The Oppo Find X (Lamborghini Edition) was the first phone ever to come with SuperVOOC Flash fast charging.
Taking a dig into details of SuperVOOC charging on Oppo R17 Pro, it charges the phone up to 40% in not more than 10 minutes. This technology is based on bi-cell partition which distributes 10V as output voltage and simultaneously reduces the voltage of each cell by half. The company claims the process to be safer just like that of VOOC Flash charge. To make it even better, the company claims to provide 5 core protections which analyze the device’s safety level and it protects all the nodes of USB cable, charger plug and battery individually.
The Oppo R17 Pro boasts a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display addressing 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC backed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone comes preloaded with Android Oreo and runs on ColorOS 5.2. The new device sports a triple rear camera of 20MP + 12MP and a TOF 3D stereo camera and at front, it carries an impressive 25MP selfie shooter. The phone is fueled up with a hefty 3,700mAh battery which is rapidly charged using SuperVOOC flash charge technology.
