Xiaomi Mi 8 series gets Mi Mix 3’s night mode with the latest MIUI update

This morning we told you that the OnePlus 5 and 5T were officially updated to Android Pie. Now another device runs the same fate in the high-end market. We are talking about the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition, a device that is currently being updated to Android 9.0 Pie.

The new update brings all the features of the new operating system and some others that adds Xiaomi on its own, especially some developments related to the camera, a component that will improve a lot after updating the phone.

The Mi 8 will be able to record content in slow motion up to 960 fps. This equates it with other high-end terminals, although we do not know the quality at which this video recording will be able to perform. But it’s not the only thing that comes with the update. The camera application will have a new way to shoot. We are talking about Night Mode.

This shooting mode allows night shots with incredible brightness. it achieves this by putting all the elements at its disposal : the photographic sensors and the softwares with artificial intelligence.

In addition to these new features for the camera, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition will also welcome new navigation gestures and a new cards in multitasking. It is still in the phase of launch in China, but it is expected that in the next weeks you will be able to update your phone.

    Got the update the other day. Night shot is good enough while the slo-mo is not impressive.
