The Moto G7, G7 Play, G7 Power and G7 Plus officially announced in Brazil

At its launch event today in Brazil, Lenovo owned Motorolla finally unwrapped the long-awaited Moto G7 family. And while a whole lot of us expect a trio of G7 smartphones today, the brand did unveil four members of the 7th iteration of its mid-range Moto G smartphones. The new entrants are comprised of the usual entry-level model – the Moto G7 Play, the power-packed Moto G7 Power, the base Moto G7, and the most premium of them all – the Moto G7 Plus.

The whole Moto G7 lineup pretty looks alike, sporting similar design with display notches of varying sizes with small bezels, though still considered larger in comparison to modern trendy phones with full-screen or almost full-screen and virtually no bezel around.

Moto G7 Plus

Starting off with the most powerful of the lineup, the Moto G7 plus is the direct sequel to last year plus model. The G7 plus now wears a new look – featuring a somewhat “edge-to-edge” look with what looks like a waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera coupled with a slightly cut-down chin which houses the Motorola logo, but not big enough for the fingerprint sensor which has now been relocated to the Motorola batwing logo at the Gorilla Glass 3 back.

The Moto G7 plus flaunts a  6.2” LCD display with  1,080 x 2,270px resolution, Gorilla Glass 3, and under its hood is the Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM, and 64GB of storage expandable up to 512GB.

A major highlight of the G7 plus is the 16+5MP dual camera on the back optimized for low-light shooting. The rear camera is capable of some AI related tasks including Smart Composition and Auto-Smile capture which should help you get the best shots ever. There is also a new Hyperlapse feature which allows you to convert already-shot footage to a fast-motion hyperlapse video. The rear camera can record 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at 30/60/120fps. The 5MP module is a depth sensor for that creamy bokeh in your portrait shots.

Away from the camera, the Moto G7 Plus gets a 3000mAh battery with support for the new 27W TurboPower charging mode. With that, Motorola is assuring you of 12 hours of usage in just 15 minutes of charging.

The device features a 5.7-inch HD screen with the Snapdragon 632 chip paired with only 2GB of RAM on board and 32GB of expandable storage.
