OPPO hasn’t launched its Snapdragon 855-powered smartphone yet. And though we have seen many leaks and heard many rumors concerning its upcoming flagship, not that much is known at this moment. As for today, a new OPPO phone code-named ‘OP46C3’ appeared in the AnTuTu database. Although the machine disguised as ‘R11s’, the configuration is significantly different from the R11s we are familiar with.

The data shows that this new OPPO phone codenamed ‘OP46C3’ is equipped with the Snapdragon 855 processor, supplemented with the 8GB of memory + 256GB of storage combination, and it scores 365,246 points.

As you see, there is every reason to think we are dealing with the forthcoming flagship model of OPPO, which is set to hit the market in April. Shen Yi, vice president of OPPO, has already revealed on Weibo that this new smartphone will be very powerful due to the Snapdragon 855 chip. Plus, it will come with a 10x hybrid zoom technology and 4065mAh battery.

In terms of appearance, Shen Yiren said that the upcoming OPPO phone will be different from the appearance of the various models that are on the market now.

Apart from the Snapdragon 855 platform that will be on myriads of models, one of the biggest selling points of the new OPPO flagship will be the 10x hybrid optical zoom technology. It was announced at the MWC2019 OPPO Innovation World Congress in Barcelona this year. OPPO said it uses a three-camera module to solve the problem of multi-focal segment coverage and continuous zoom. The three-camera module includes an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° viewing angle, a 48-megapixel ultra-clear main camera, and a telephoto camera. They achieve a 16mm to 160mm focal length coverage in a ‘relay’ manner.
