Today, Meizu officially released its new flagship smartphone, namely the Meizu 16s. The machine continues the design style of the Meizu 16th series but also comes with some enhancements.

The Meizu 16s features a 6.2-inch screen with a resolution of 2232×1080. It has a 4.2mm ultra-narrow chin and a 91.53% ultra-high screen ratio. The weight of the fuselage is 165g and the thickness is 7.6mm. Meizu said that it has cooperated with Samsung to adopt the Super AMOLED screen and has undergone three major optimizations: retina-level color reproduction, harmful blue-light filtering, and DC dimming.

The Meizu 16s is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, which is based on a 7nm low-power process technology, Adreno 640 GPU, and 3x AI performance enhancement. In addition, our protagonist is packed with a UFS 2.1 storage and a 6GB/8GB memory.

One of the biggest highlights of this phone is the One Mind 3.0 technology based on Android P + Flyme 7.3. One Mind 3.0 can control the background applications and allocate system resources. As for the camera, the Meizu 16s sports a 48MP rear AI dual-camera (IMX586 + IMX350), which supports four-axis OIS, dual-super-night mode, and the ultimate 48MP mode. The front-facing camera uses the world’s first Samsung 3T2 20MP CMOS, which also supports face unlock, portrait blur, AI beauty, and front HDR+.

The manufacturer also said that the Meizu 16s adopts Huiding’s second-generation optical fingerprinting recognition technology. Its unlocking speed and wet hand unlocking rate have been greatly improved. Meizu 16s comes with the DSP fingerprint recognition acceleration.

Meizu’s classic mTouch has also been upgraded to the new Super mTouch. It has greatly improved recognition speed and recognition rate and supports Alipay and WeChat fingerprint payment.

The Meizu 16s supports mEngine 3.0, which can be fully operated during the game, matching the corresponding vibrations according to the scene. Moreover, the shooting vibration of different weapons is not the same. According to Meizu, its transient response speed is increased by 1.5 times.

In addition, Meizu engineers also focused on optimizing the pain points of the players, bringing a 100Hz touch refresh rate, 30% screen click response speed increase, and 65% sliding operation response speed increase.

The Meizu 16s will officially open the pre-sale at 22:00 tonight, while it will go on sale on April 28. The 6GB+128GB version is priced at 3198 yuan ($476), the 8GB+128GB version costs 3498 yuan ($520), and the 8GB+256GB version is 3998 yuan ($595).
