In recent times, there has been a lot of fuss with respect to the upcoming Redmi Snapdragon 855 smartphone. Until a few hours ago when the name “Redmi X” appeared online, this phone has been simply called “Redmi Snapdragon 855 phone”. Now, the general manager of Redmi brand, Lu Weibing, has denied the Redmi X nomenclature. Some hours after the name “Redmi X” went viral, Mr. Weibing said: “Do not call Redmi X, there will be a better name.”
As of now, the exact specs of this smartphone are still trickling out and Redmi has been a bit quiet about this phone. The Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship phone will use a pop-up front camera with a full-screen and perhaps a triple rear camera.
According to Lu Weibing’s previous statement, Redmi’s Snapdragon 855 flagship phone will be the king of cost-effective and will have stronger performance, longer battery life, better camera, higher screen ratio, and NFC. In addition, the Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship phone will also retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and it has a “very narrow chin.” Speculations have it that this smartphone is going to be released in May.
