The 3300 mAh battery of your Xiaomi Mi 9 just doesn’t appeal to you? Would you have liked a battery phone with a bigger unit on board? Then a Chinese retailer could have the solution that is right for you.

But obviously, it is better to give up since it is a practice that is not suitable and certainly risky! A retailer on Taobao – for those who don’t know it, it is an Amazon and eBay style e-commerce platform – is offering a service that promises to increase the battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi 9.

The retailer would proceed with the replacement of the 3300 mAh battery with a 6500 mAh battery and if you want you can climb up to 9900mAh. All without excessively affecting weight and thickness, increased by 60 grams and 3.4 mm.

The seller promises that all features will remain unchanged, even wireless charging. At the moment no Chinese user has given an evaluation to the purchase and there is a certain caution in proceeding with this practice. Would you submit your Xiaomi Mi 9 to the procedure to have a super battery or … better to stay with the factory configuration?
