Alleged OPPO A1s secures NBTC approval in Thailand

OPPO A1s

A little over a month after it launched the OPPO A1K in India, OPPO looks to be prepping one more variant of the original OPPO A1 which was first announced back in 2018. The OPPO smartphone bearing the CPH1925 model number(rumored to be the OPPO A1S) has just secured approval from NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission), a regulator in Thailand, suggesting it could launch soon.

Gizchina News of the week

The device perhaps will launch as the OPPO A1s, and from the look of it, it will definitely fall into the basic level and the lower price segment. From the image/render available from the NBTC documents, the alleged OPPO A1s appears to be encased in a polycarbonate case fitted with a dual camera with LED flash on the rear, with no fingerprint scanner but might make do with Face recognition feature suggesting once again it is perhaps a low-end device.

On the display front, the device gets a more modern look, featuring a large screen with a notch for the selfie shooter on the front. Unfortunately, we are not privy to other details, but we expect the device to come powered by the Helio P series, given the OPPO A1 and A1K featured same SoC from MediaTek. Battery size, as well as the camera specs, could also be getting some slight upgrade.
