Xiaomi’s sub-brand latest devices – the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are only a few weeks old with availability only in China, and the EU, but the brand may already be hard at work on another killer device if the latest leak is any indication. While a number of phone makers already jumped on the 48MP with Pixel binning tech, the tide could be changing soon as there are now indications we could soon see devices with a whopping 64MP cameras.
Samsung mobile already announced a new 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor that will reportedly feature in one of its upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone. Well, reports from China says Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand is also readying a Redmi phone with the same camera sensor. But whether or not Samsung will allow Redmior other brands to get the glory of making the first smartphone with the said sensor remains unknown.
Redmi Phone with 64-megapixel camera launch date
Leakster Ice Universe made the claim in a Weibo post, however, details about the said Redmi phone, and even possible launch date are still up in the sir. Hopefully, we will get some hint from Redmi or its parent company in the coming weeks.
Much like Like the widely 48MP sensors, Samsung’s new 64MP shooter uses the Tetracell binding technology to merge four pixels into one, pushing out 16MP images in low light environments and remosaic algorithm for full 64MP shots in brighter scenarios.
