OPPO Find Y spotted in a trademark listing

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3

Recall the ambitious OPPO Find X? that device has yet to receive a sequel more than one year after its debut. But it appears we are finally going to see a true successor soon, as the brand has now filed for a trademark application for the OPPO Find Y MONIKER.

Filing for a patent is not a guarantee that a successor is in the making though, after all, the brand has since Feb patented the OPPO Find Z moniker, but has yet to announce that.

Perhaps, the OPPO Find Z is been delayed for the Find Y given that it should be the natural sequel to the Find X.  Little or nothing is known regarding Oppo’s plans for the Find Y, however, there are speculations the device might be announced on June 26 – the same date OPPO is billed to announce its latest break-through technology – the under-display front-facing camera.

And if that pans out, then the OPPOFind Y might be the first device to get the under-display front-facing camera, perhaps at the prototype level, after which a special event might be scheduled for the final market-ready product. June 26 is the date, we will surely bring you more updates.
