Galaxy Note 10+ vs iPhone XS Max: this drop test reveals which is the most solid

The youtube channel Phonebuff has tested the strength of the iPhone XS Max, the flagship from Apple released in late 2018, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, the latest addition to the Note range of Samsung. The two rivals share several characteristics. They are covered with glass, equipped with a Samsung AMOLED screen and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10+ has been severely damaged by the end of the test. The South Korean smartphone has nevertheless managed to overcome its rival. PhoneBuff assigns the note 37 out of 40, against 34/40 for the iPhone XS Max.

During the first drop test (on a concrete floor),it is nevertheless the terminal of Apple who won the game. After the fall, it had only a big crack on its back in glass, the part the most fragile of the device. For its part, Note 10 has already many small cracks. For the second test, Phonebuff dropped both smartphones vertically so that one of the corners touched the concrete in the first place. Again, it is the iPhone XS Max that wins little. Note that both devices are still working perfectly.

It was at the third and final event that the Galaxy Note 10+ took the advantage over his rival. After an impact on its front, the screen of the iPhone XS Max began to crack. A large part of the touch screen is even completely unusable. For its part, Note 10 got away with little damage on the screen and continues to work properly.
