Xiaomi MIUI 11 update roadmap revealed, POCO F1, and 27 other devices included


MIUI 11

Xiaomi today announced the budget Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones in India at a starting price of Rs 14,999. These devices have since been available in the Chinese market, so we do know all that they bring to the table in terms of specs. At the Note 8 launch event in India today, Xiaomi India COO Muralikrishan B introduced MIUI 11 in India revealing that there are 80 million monthly active users of MIUI in India.

Besides detailing all features of the MIUI 11, including a new minimalist design, the Xiaomi executive also detailed the MIUI 11 Global roll out plans. According to the road map,  a total of 28 Xiaomi branded smartphones will be getting the MIUI 11 stable update from now till December 26th when the Redmi Note 8 Pro is scheduled to get the update.

The POCO F1, Redmi K20, Redmi y3, Redmi 7, and the entire Redmi Note 7 series including the  Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7s and Redmi Note 7 Pro are the first batch of smartphone tipped to get the update beginning from October 22nd – 30th October 2019.

Beginning from November 4th – November 12, Xiaomi as per the road map says it will roll out the update to the Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, 6A, Note 5, Note 5 Pro, 5, 5A, Note 4, Y1, Y1 Lite, Y2, 4, Mi Mix 2 and the Mi Max 2. That will be closely followed by the third phase of the MIUI 11 update rollout beginning from November 13th – 29th. And devices on the third list include the Redmi Note 6 Pro, 7A, 8, 8A, and Note 8, while it will be rounded off with the last batch which only has the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
