Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, recently announced that its former sub-brand, Poco, is now independent. The Poco brand was established for India but since its inception over a year ago, it has just one smartphone ā Poco F1. In recent times, there have been numerous speculations regarding Pocoās upcoming smartphone. Recently, an official tweet by Poco India confirms that Poco X2 will arrive on February 4th in New Delhi, India. From Poco India’s tweet, we can see that this smartphone will have a very high screen refresh rate.
The recent speculations suggest thatĀ the Poco X2 packs a 6.67″ screen. On the rear, it uses a quad-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera. According to the leak, the price of this smartphoneĀ is INR18,999 ($265) for the 6GB/64GB model. There are likely to be more memory options. Furthermore, this device will support up to 27W fast charge.
In addition, some recent images which seem to be real images are suspected to be the upcoming Poco X2. These images reveal more features of this smartphone. First of all, the top right corner of the phone has a dual front camera, which means that the phone is likely to use an LCD screen. The refresh rate is expected to be the same as that of the K30, which is 120Hz. The Poco X2 will also come with stereo speakers. According to reports, the Poco X2 is most likely another Redmi K30 which is already available in mainland China.
Poco X2 120Hz refresh rate display
According to XDA-Developer Editor-in-Chief,Ā Mishaal Rahman, the Poco X2 will feature a 120Hz high refresh rate display. When the teaser image is opened with a 120Hz smartphone, POCOās snide remark changes. XDA believes that the changes are because this device will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
In addition, Flipkart already has a landing page for this smartphone. Thus there is reason to believe that this smartphone may be exclusive to Flipkart, at least at launch. As of now, Poco already has a website with a few details for the Poco X2. According to the website, this smartphone will come with a high refresh rate display and liquid cooling. Also, a render of the charging port shows that it will come with a USB Type-C as well as a headphone jack on the bottom.
