With this app, you can put your face on the most popular GIFs on the internet

At the beginning of the year, we tried Doublicat, an application that allows us to introduce our face in a GIF using Deepfake and artificial intelligence. It seems that this snowball has just begun to roll. And we already have GIFs app alternatives, some of them with very remarkable options and interface.

The one that concerns us today is called Familiar and is an application available for both iOS and Android. The application has Giphy’s GIF search engine integrated, so the world of possibilities is virtually unlimited. We have tried it and … you better see for yourself what it is capable of.

Familiar requires registration to start using our face although the developer makes several notes regarding privacy. As indicated, no data on our face is collected and information is not shared with third parties. Once we register we can already access the functions of the app. The interface is taken care of, with a first part in which we can add our face. We can add several faces both from our gallery or taking pictures with the front camera

Gizchina News of the week

With this GIFs app, you can put your face on the most popular GIFs on the internet

One of the strengths of this application, we are basically browsing Giphy, with the small addition that we can put our face when we find a GIF that we like. We just have to click on it and add the picture. The fusion process lasts a few seconds and the results are interesting. Whether the final result is good or bad depends largely on the GIF we select. We have tried some of the most popular GIFs in the world of social networks. And the truth is that they have not been bad.

Another of the strengths of the application are the possibilities when exporting and sharing GIFs. We can share it with our applications through the share button, save it as GIF or save it as video, something that will allow us to have the clip saved to share it in applications that do not support GIFs.

The only disadvantage of the application is that it has ads (they are not too intrusive) and that when exporting GIFs there is a watermark. This can be solved with the premium version but, taking into account that the application is designed only for entertainment, the free version is more than valid.
