Oppo is on a row during these last days of April. After revealing several smartphones in just a couple of days, the company is adding a new member to the list dubbed Oppo A52. It’s a mid-range smartphone with last year’s Snapdragon 665 SoC and a more than capable battery life.
Oppo A52 specifications
As aforementioned, the A52 ships with the Snapdragon 665 SoC. This chipset was the 2019’s update over the successful Snapdragon 660 chipset. It’s not on par with 2020 SoCs, however, it still is decent. The processors come paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The amount of storage can grow further via a microSD slot.
The specifications are built around a 6.5-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution. The panel as a top-left aligned punch-hole, something that is becoming quite common in Oppo smartphones. The cutout serves as a house for the 8MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, we have a squareish Quad-camera array comprising a 12MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro and 2MP depth modules.
One of the handset’s main selling points is its massive 5,000mAh battery that charges via 18W fast-charging. This is a 2020 Oppo smartphone so we can expect the Android 10-based ColorOS 7.0 software.
Pricing and Availability
The Oppo A52 retails at CNY 1,599 (~$225/€207 / INR 17,300). Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the availability of this handset. It comes in just two colors – Blue and Black.
