OPPO Find X10 Pro Max Camera Samples Show What Its 200MP Telephoto Can Do

OPPO is giving us an early look at what may be the most interesting part of the Find X10 Pro Max. New camera samples show the phone's 200MP telephoto camera ahead of the official launch on September 22.

The images are not just about big numbers. They show strong detail in close-up shots, natural background blur and controlled colors. OPPO is clearly putting photography at the center of this phone.

The Find X10 Pro Max is expected to be the first smartphone with three 200MP rear cameras. The setup includes the main camera, an ultra-wide camera and a periscope telephoto.

The main sensor has an f/1.5 aperture and is said to offer up to 17EV of dynamic range. The 200MP ultra-wide camera covers a 124-degree field of view, while the periscope uses an f/2.1 aperture.

The telephoto camera also has CIPA 7.5 stabilization. That should help keep long-range shots steady, especially when using higher zoom levels.

For me, the telephoto samples are the most interesting part. A 200MP sensor sounds impressive on paper, but the real question is how much detail survives when you start zooming in.

The first samples show plenty of fine detail. Hair, small objects and textures remain clear, while the background has a natural blur even when portrait mode is not being used. Colors also look controlled. They are not overly bright, but they do not look flat either.

That is important because high-resolution cameras can sometimes push sharpening and color too far. These samples appear to avoid that problem, at least in the conditions where OPPO tested them.

The phone also seems to handle strong sunlight well. Bright areas stay under control without losing too much detail.

Of course, these are official samples. They are meant to show the phone in the best possible light, so I would wait for independent tests before making any final judgment.

OPPO is also working with Hasselblad on the Find X10 series. The company is using the partnership to tune the camera system and improve the overall image look.

The Pro Max takes a different approach from the previous Find X9 Ultra. That phone used five rear cameras, including a 200MP main camera, a 200MP 3x telephoto and a 50MP 10x telephoto. The Find X10 Pro Max goes in another direction. Instead of using more cameras, OPPO is putting three 200MP sensors into the main, ultra-wide and telephoto positions.

I find that change interesting. A single telephoto camera needs to cover more situations, so the sensor and lens quality become even more important.

The Find X10 Pro Max will launch in China on September 22 alongside the Find X10 and Find X10 E. OPPO has also confirmed that the Pro Max will reach international markets and that's something - we Europeans - really appreciate.

The phone is expected to use MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro, which is built on a 2nm process. It will also be OPPO's first Pro Max model, giving it a clear position at the top of the new Find X10 range. The camera samples have certainly raised my expectations I must confess. I am still more interested in real-world zoom tests than another 200MP headline, but what OPPO has shown so far looks promising. Perhaps I can say more, when I get a review sample in my hands.

If the final phone can keep this level of detail while offering strong zoom at different distances, the Find X10 Pro Max could have one of the most interesting camera systems of 2026.
