Today is World Book Day. So it’s not accidental Hisense released the A5C and A5Pro color ink screen reading smartphones today at the 2020 China Digital Reading Cloud Conference. The Hisense A5C and A5ProCC phones use the latest typographic color e-paper technology. This adds a layer of color filters to the original black and white ink screen. This new type of color electronic paper technology can display 4096 kinds of rich colors.

In terms of functional interaction, the color ink screen reading phone retains a minimalist desktop design, volume keys to turn pages, high-fidelity HIFI chip, and other functions. At the same time, the new reading ‘do not disturb mode’ can define its own reading application. During the reading process, system notifications and social messages will be displayed in the form of floating windows. In addition, Hisense also pioneered the full-screen page turning function.

Appearance

In terms of appearance screen, the Hisense A5Pro has a CC version and classic version. The CC version is based on color ink screen design, while the classic version is based on black and white screen design. The Hisense A5C \ A5Pro sport a 5.84-inch screen. Among them, the A5Pro continues the minimalist integrated 3D backplane arc design, and the surface of the fuselage uses the Baby-Skin texture paint spraying process. In terms of color, the A5C has three colors: jade black, white, and blue. The A5Pro the blue variant with bamboo green.

The Hisense A5Pro uses the UNISOC T610 processor, with a new fast refresh mode. The refresh time is only 136ms, and it is also equipped with an independent speaker. The phone uses a dual SIM card + T card three-choice design options. It runs on Android 10. The rest of noteworthy features include a rear 13-megapixel camera, front 5-megapixel camera, fingerprint recognition module, NFC support, and the Type-C interface.

The 4GB + 64GB variant costs 1599 yuan ($226), and it will be available for pre-order on June 10.

The A5Pro CC version uses a 5.84-inch color ink screen, UNISOC T610 processor, a built-in 4000mAh battery, a Type-C charging interface, a rear 13MP camera, a front-facing 5MP camera, and supports 4G. The 4GB + 64GB version costs 1799 yuan ($254), while the 6GB + 128GB version is 1999 yuan ($282). The pre-sale will start on June 1.

The A5C comes with a 5.84-inch color ink screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, a built-in 4000mAh battery, and supports 4G. Among the rest of the features, we can mention the rear 13-megapixel camera, front 5-megapixel camera, 4GB memory, and 64GB storage. It is priced at 1699 yuan ($240) and will go on sale on April 29.
