Like the Xiaomi Mi 8/9 SE, the SE is the low-end version. If we compare this device with the 199 yuan PTZ version, the Xiaomi Mi camera SE does not support vertical movements. It only supports horizontal motion.

The Xiaomi Mi Camera SE PTZ version comes with a 2-megapixel camera that can shoot 1080P high-definition video. It uses WDR technology, which allows the screen to retain more details even if it is backlit.

It has a 940nm infrared fill light. By optimizing the arrangement and optical structure of the fill light, the brightness of the fill light is more uniform. Furthermore, the night vision permeability is stronger which ensures that there no red exposure at night. This also means that the visuals at night will be clearer.

The PTZ version of the Xiaomi smart camera uses a new generation of H.265 video encoding technology. Users can watch 1080P HD videos smoothly even under 1M uplink bandwidth. It supports 32GB Micro SD card storage (maximum) as well as NAS storage and cloud storage. The records in the Micro SD card can also be played back at 1/4/16 times speed. This means that users can quickly view the video.

Furthermore, this Xiaomi Mi smart camera PTZ version can recognize humans and sounds an alarm at a suspicious movement. For efficiency, it effectively filters movements from wind, grass, pets, and so on. Lastly, this camera comes with a “housekeeping mode”. This mode ensures that the alarm time-frequency is reduced to cut down false alarm.
