OnePlus 7T White color edition unveiled in China

OnePlus already unveiled its 2020 flagship series in the form of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The company even gave a step further to solidify its presence in the market with the introduction of the OnePlus Nord mid-range smartphone. Now, reports are emerging about the upcoming OnePlus 8T series, OnePlus Nord N10 for the US and a super-affordable OnePlus “Clover” handset. The company has enough reasons to look to the future, but this doesn’t mean that older models will be left behind. Support for the OnePlus 7/7T family is pretty much expected, but how about a new colorway for the OnePlus 7T? This is a big surprise.

The original OnePlus 7T was released in October last year, featuring a new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and a circular camera module. While the cameras were basically the same as the OnePlus 7 Pro, the design was quite unique in OnePlus’ portfolio. The fact is that the OnePlus 7T quickly became one of the most succesful smartphones in the company’s recent story, offering a nice hardware and a more affordable price tag. The recently released OnePlus 8 series are the most expensive smartphones the company has ever released. For that reason, the OnePlus 7T keeps selling well in some markets where it still is available. For that reason, the company decided to unveil a new color / edition dubbed OnePlus 7T Commemorative White in China.

Gizchina News of the week

A beautiful White color that resembles the Silk White OnePlus 6T

The new variant has a matte white color with smooth finish and a silve frame. Some old school fans will probably resemble the silk white color except for the frame that instead of gold is silver in the OnePlus 7T. Apart from the back panel, the device has the exact same feeling of a regular OnePlus 7T. Unfortunately, we still don’t know if this variant will make way to customers outside of China. We don’t think that the company will have much interest in promoting a one year old smartphone in key markets like Europe. China is a different story and companies tend to re-launch smartphone under special editions no matter what.
