Huami teases a new incoming smart wearable, launch set for October 27

Huami seems to be on the roll when it comes to launching new wearable. The Chinese brand has added three new products to its portfolio in the month of September alone. Huami launched two smartwatches namely Amazfit GTR 2, Amazfit GTS 2 along a fitness tracker Amazfit Band 5. The brand has now teased yet another smart wearable and this time it seems to be focussing a lot more on the health department.

Huami to launch new smart wearable next month!

With the newly released teaser, Huami is talking about a journey to “Where style meets health”. The new teaser line clearly points towards a health-oriented smart wearable. The new unknown smart wearable will see its official launch on October 27. Apart from the teaser line, Huami has also posted the first teaser image which doesn’t really talk much.

Gizchina News of the week

If we look at the linked image closely, it looks like the image contains a part of a round smartwatch similar to Amazfit GTR 2. Considering that, there might be a chance that the brand will bring GTR 2 to the global market since it is currently only available in China. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the key highlight of the recently launched GTR 2 and GTS 2 is the availability of blood-oxygen sensors.

With the ongoing global pandemic, many wearable makers are adding the blood-oxygen sensors so that the user can measure Sp02 levels. This might be the health-oriented feature that the brand is talking about in the teaser line. With that said, we’re just speculating since it is quite early to talk about which product the brand might be working on. There is a solid chance that we might end up seeing a new wearable from Huami.

The official launch event is still a month away so we should be expecting more information or teasers surfacing on the web. Whenever that will happen, we will make sure to keep our readers updated.

Amazfit GTR 2 specs, features

To recall, Huami Amazfit GTR 2 comes in two editions namely classic and sports. The former features stainless steel body and leather strap while the latter offers an aluminum body with a silicone strap. The wearable comes with 4GB onboard storage which should be enough if you like to store a few songs or podcasts. On the battery front, the smartwatch is teased to last 14 days on a single charger on regular usage. Other features include GPS, WiFi, XiaoAI voice assistant, and more.
