On September 30, Xiaomi finally unveiled to the world its highly-anticipated Xiaomi Mi 10T series composed of three stunning devices with powerful cameras, gorgeous and smooth displays, and affordable price tag. Apart from the appealing smartphones that come to conquer the global customers, the company is also unveiling its Mi Watch in Europe. The wearable comes to further reinforce Xiaomi’s presence in the market of wearables and has a lot of features to justify it as a worthy contender in this competitive market.
Xiaomi Mi Watch specifications
The new wearable packs a circular display of AMOLED kind and a 1.39 diameter. This panel has a 454 x 454 resolution which should make the experience pretty satisfactory. This is another smartwatch that brings a big focus on sports and activities. It’s packed with 117 exercises mode and the better is that it comes with an integrated GPS. Hence, you won’t need to rely on your smartphone for some features. That’s an independent smartwatch that will serve your outdoor needs. Since we’re talking about outdoors, Xiaomi equipped this with a very good panel with up to 450 nits. It also features a Gorilla Glass 3 ensuring some good protection from scratches. Still, on the endurance topic, the company brings 5 ATM water protection. So you can use it to track swimming and pool activities too.
An interesting fact about the Mi Watch is that it does not come with WearOS. This may be a problem if you want to use WearOS apps, but in counterpart, you’ll get stellar battery life. Xiaomi’s proprietary software comes with a bunch of stock applications, so you will be served here. Some features include a compass, barometer, and camera remote control. Interestingly enough, this software brings support for Amazon Alexa.
Xiaomi states that its custom software brings more than 100 custom watch faces. So you can give your personal look to the smartwatch. The wearable comes with a SpO2 sensor allowing you to monitor your blood oxygen saturation. As usual, the smartwatch also brings heart rate monitor and sleep tracking features. The International model also comes with NFC which certainly is a plus.
According to the company, the Mi Watch ships with a 420mAh battery that can ensure up to 16 days with a 2-hour charge. That’s something hardly possible with a smartwatch packing
