Tesla, an American electric vehicle and clean energy company is bringing something huge to the U.S. Presently, the company already has a vehicle production plant in the United States. Furthermore, it is building a huge super factory in Texas. Now, there are reports that the company will build a vehicle assembly plant in the United States. This new plant will focus on the production of electric trucks and sports cars.

In a document submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Tesla disclosed that it will also build a vehicle assembly plant in the United States. However, the company did not disclose where it intends to build this plant. The company will produce its electric truck Tesla Semi and the electric sports car, Roadster in this plant. Well, this is interesting news for Americans because it means more jobs.
Tesla already has three super factories in the U.S.
This is not the first time Tesla has disclosed that it will build another vehicle assembly plant in the U.S. In the second and third quarter financial reports, Tesla mentioned that it will build another semi and electric truck production in the United States. Furthermore, it also reveals that the electric truck, Tesla Semi will be available in 2021.
Taking into account the time required to build the plant, Tesla will probably soon commence the building of this plant. We expect the company to reveal the factory site and start construction before the end of the year. If it does not commence the construction of the plant this year, then it is most likely that the truck will not be ready next year.
In the last two quarters’ financial reports and in the documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, Tesla did not disclose whether this plant to be built in the United States will be a super factory. If the company decides to make this factory a super factory, this will increase the number of Tesla’s super factories in the U.S. to four.
Due to the high cost of labour in the U.S., many American companies are shifting their production outside the U.S. However, this does not seem to be the case with Tesla.
