Google Camera Go gets advanced HDR support

Earlier this year, Google released the Camera Go app, a simplified version of the popular camera app from Google. At first, the application was simplified to the extreme, and did not include the features that fans of Google software are used to. But the developers do not sit still, and relatively quickly add new features.

For example, back in April this year it was reported that the company was working on adding HDR support to Google Camera Go. Then in October, the app got support for night mode, and Google confirmed that it will add HDR support in a future update.

Today, a post appeared on the official Android Twitter account telling about the preparations for the release of a Google Camera Go update, which will include support for HDR. This will allow budget devices to capture photos with sharper details and richer colors in different conditions.

Like the update that brought Night Mode, the latest HDR-enabled Google Camera Go should start shipping in the coming days. The first smartphones to receive the new version of the application will be Nokia 1.3, Wiko Y61 and Wiko Y81. After receiving the update, users of these devices should see the new HDR mode switch in the app interface.

Google Camera Go has received the night mode feature

In 2017, Google introduced a special version of Android for weak devices, subtitled Go Edition. In addition to making the firmware itself easier and speeding up its work, the company has added several special versions of already existing applications, and among them, we have the Camera Go.

Perhaps the most popular of these has been Camera Go; the much-desired camera app that makes it possible to capture good pictures even on the cheapest devices. But this version had a noticeable flaw – it lacked the night mode. In the last update, this defect was fixed.

Google camera go

Pixel Night Sight has long been considered one of the best low-light shooting modes for smartphones. The addition of Night Mode to Google Camera Go is likely to give entry-level devices an idea of high-quality night photography without flash.

Based on the official press release; the night mode on Google Camera Go will work exactly the same as on the regular Google Camera. When you press the shutter button, the app will automatically take multiple shots and combine them for clearer images in low light conditions. When using this mode, you do not need to adjust or change camera settings.

Well, let’s look at the shooting results when examples of photos using the new application appear on the Web.
