According to a new offline poster that appeared on Weibo, the Honor V40 has commenced pre-sale. From the poster, we can see that the display of this phone has a large and attractive curvature. The poster also shows that pre-sale is active on all major offline stores. If all goes according to plan, this device will be official on January 12th. However, we expect that the sales will go online probably after the launch.
The Honor V40 recently passed through TENAA and got a couple of other certifications. This raised speculations that the smartphone will launch soon. According to the network access certification, the Honor V40 comes with a standard Huawei HW-110600C0x charger. The charger supports up to 66W charge pump fast charging. In addition, this smartphone runs on the Android system but there is no confirmation if it supports GMS.

Recent speculation shows that the Honor V40 will come with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Thi chip is MediaTek’s most advanced chip so far. It also uses a 120Hz punch-hole curved screen with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, the smartphone supports 45W wireless fast charging and adopts a classic “dial” rear lens design.
In other respects, the V40 will use a 50-megapixel main camera while the Pro version will have three rear cameras. As for the Pro+ version, it will have four rear cameras. It will use a pill-shaped punch-hole which will have a 13MP camera as well as a depth of field lens. This series will run Magic UI 4.0 + HMS based on Android 10.
Honor V40 series may use multiple processors
As for the processors, there are multiple unconfirmed reports. One report claims that four models of the V40 series will use four different processors. The report claims that the Honor V40 will come with a Dimensity 1000+ SoC. In addition, there will be an Honor V40 Pro which will use Samsung’s Exynos 1080. Furthermore, the V40 Pro+ will use Snapdragon 888 while the V40 Commemorative Edition will come with Huawei’s Kirin 9000. There is no official confirmation to this report o we consider it as “speculation” and nothing more.
