Instagram Reels can share short videos directly to Facebook

Instagram

Social media giant, Facebook, recently copied TikTok’s style and launched Instagram Reels. According to Facebook, some Instagram Reels creators in India will have the opportunity to share their short video clips on Facebook. Facebook will promote some users’ Reels videos in its main application information stream. The company will name this short video product “Reels on Facebook”.

Instagram Reels

In August last year, Facebook launched the short video function, Instagram Reel, in more than 50 countries and regions including the United States, India, and the United Kingdom. Of course, it launched this app to challenge TikTok. Reel, like TikTok, allows users to create 15-second videos based on music or audio, and adds augmented reality (AR) special effects.

The short video is the latest example of Facebook plagiarizing the ideas of small rivals such as TikTok and SnapChat. The company is trying to use the coverage of its social network to promote these new services. In addition, Facebook is also integrating other products from Instagram. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other regulatory agencies have initiated antitrust lawsuits seeking to revoke Facebook’s acquisition of Instagram and WhatsApp.

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, also attaches great importance to the challenge posed by TikTok. In October 2019, he said in a question and answer session with employees that TikTok is really the first Internet product to achieve worldwide success.

Clubhouse is also an invitation-only service where users can listen to conversations, interviews, and discussions. The discussions take place between specific people while the other invitees just listen.

According to Alessandro Instagram is also working on End to End encryption for its chat service. This does not have any relationship with its audio chat rooms. Facebook has been having a lot of privacy issues in recent times. This will help to sort out some of these issues.
