2021 is the 10th anniversary of the OPPO Find series. So the manufacturer has decided to celebrate it by launching the OPPO Find X3 series of smartphones.
Last year’s Find X2 series made people see OPPO’s determination to bring a true high-end flagship. This year’s Find X3 series focuses on design, screen, performance and camera. We should especially focus on the full-link 10bit color engine, which is something new.
OPPO Find X3 Design
At present, major manufacturers have their own unique styles in their flagship phones. The Find X3 series is characterized by “impossible curved surfaces”. The back uses a continuous curved surface design, which greatly reduces the camera part through a very complex process. The abruptness not only brings a highly recognizable appearance, but also has a distinctive feel.
According to OPPO’s official introduction, the OPPO Find X3 adjusts the back cover curve through 2000+ control points. The overall use of the art-level hot forging process makes the glass bend and integrally formed. Then, through the OC0 curved glass coating process, it finally achieves a warm enamel mirror effect.
The Find X3 series has four color options: mirror black, condensed white, fog blue, and universe mocha.
As for the weight and thickness, the OPPO Find X3 is 8.26mm thick, and the glass version weighs 193 grams, while the plain leather material weighs 191 grams.
OPPO Find X3 Screen
Last year, the Find X2 series conquered DisplayMate with an excellent screen. This year’s Find X3 series went further. It comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, that uses an E4 material. The display has a resolution of up to 3216×1440, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and supports intelligent dynamic frame rate. Also it, supports native 1 billion color display. Other parameters include up to 1300 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 8192 levels of brightness adjustment and so on.
It is worth mentioning that the Find X3 also uses advanced LTPO screen technology and supports 5Hz～120Hz variable adaptive smart refresh rate. The latter can greatly reduce screen power consumption. This machine has also become the first Chinese smartphone coming with LTPO.
In addition to the top-level display effects, the Find X3 has also self-developed O-Sync overclocking response technology for the touch experience. The latter greatly improves the synchronization speed of the screen and the processor. The touch response is faster, the release of skills and the shooting are more sensitive.
O-Sync overclocking response technology has co-created a 60-frame mode adapted to the game with the “Call of Duty” mobile game team. In the future, it will be adapted to this solution with more partners.
In terms of biosecurity, the OPPO Find X3 uses off-screen fingerprint recognition technology, derived from Goodix. The audio on the Find X3 series uses two high-performance PA amplifier chips from Goodix, bringing an immersive playback experience.
OPPO Find X3 Camera
OPPO has always emphasized that the OPPO Find X3 is the only full-link 10bit smartphone. In addition to the screen that can support 10bit color, the most basic shooting also realizes 10bit color support. By the way, thanks to this, the Find X3 also received a DisplayMate A+ rating and broke 12 screen records.
As for the Find X3, it comes with the industry’s first dual main camera. The wide-angle main camera and ultra-wide-angle sensors both use the Sony IMX766 CMOS. The latter has a 50MP resolution, a 1 billion color capture, and the size has reached 1/1.56 inches. The camera also supports OIS (optical image stabilization).
The IMX766 is not only the largest ultra-wide-angle sensor at present, but for the problem of ultra-wide-angle distortion, the Find X3 series also uses a free-form lens, hardware-level anti-distortion, which improves the problem of wide-angle shooting.
The telephoto lens has a 13MP resolution. It also supports 1 billion color collection, 5 times hybrid optical zoom, 20 times digital zoom, etc. The 3MP microscope lens is also the industry’s first. It supports 60 times zoom, and it is more convenient to shoot close-up shots.
In order to show the powerful strength of this microscope lens, the company released samples taken by the OPPO Find X3 Pro. They show sand, MSG, sponge and other items under the microscope.
As for video shooting, the Find X3 series also supports 10bit HDR video shooting and playback. There is also BT2020 color gamut, 4K shooting, etc. As the manufacturer claims, you can use this phone to shoot professional films.

OPPO Find X3 Performance
In terms of hardware, the OPPO Find X3 series has two different configurations. The Find X3 uses Snapdragon 870 processor + LPDDR4X memory (8+128GB and 8+256GB), while the OPPO Find X3 Pro uses Snapdragon 888 + LPDDR5 (8+256GB, 12+256GB and 16+512GB).
Under the hood, it also carries a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W Super VOOC 2.0 wired fast charging and 30W AirVOOC wireless fast charging. It can charge 40% in 10 minutes, and it can also be fully charged in 80 minutes. It has an ultra-large and ultra-thin VC liquid cooling design. Plus, the phone supports a 10W wireless reverse charging.
In other aspects, the Find X3 series supports NFC (can be used as an ideal One car key*), Hans Zimmer custom ringtones**, ColorOS11.2 system, O-Sync low-latency touch and so on.
Finally, OPPO announced that it has upgraded the HayTap Health App 3.0 version, which will be officially launched on March 31. It can view health data more intuitively, and supports continuous blood glucose and blood pressure data real-time viewing.
* OPPO has cooperated with Ideal Car to realize car-machine interconnection with OPPO smartphones. Now, the Find X3 series phones can be used as Ideal ONE’s Bluetooth car keys. They can automatically unlock the doors when they are close to the car. In addition, they can also remotely open the window and sound the whistle to find the car.

The Find X3 8+128GB version costs 4499 yuan ($693), and the 8+256GB version is 4999 yuan ($770).
As for the Find X3 Pro, the 8+256GB variant is priced at 5499 yuan ($847), the 12+256GB is priced at 5999 yuan ($924), and the 16+512GB is priced at 6999 yuan ($1078). It will be available on all channels on March 19.
